MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS

At Forest Hills, we know that students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and well, emotionally, physically, as well as academically. Mental health support is woven into the fabric of our schools, from classroom communities built on belonging to dedicated professionals ready to help when students and families need it most.

OUR MENTAL HEALTH LIASONS

We are proud to have three dedicated mental health liaisons serving our district — one for each attendance area. Our liaisons bring deep, real-world experience to this work: they have supported children and families in numerous settings and a variety of clinics and organizations, from Pine Rest to Disability Advocates of Kent County to child welfare organizations. They work closely with our schools and school counseling staff to connect students and families with the right support at the right time.

In addition to assisting the district with mental health initiatives, our liaisons provide direct assistance to students and families through a variety of services, including:

  • Direct referrals for mental health support
  • Connection to community resources
  • Assistance in times of crisis

Families are welcome to reach out directly to their attendance area’s liaison.
