Home of the Rangers! Nestled in the heart of Ada Township just outside Grand Rapids, we serve over 500 students in grades 7 and 8 with a talented team of over 40 staff members. At CMS, our guiding vision is simple yet powerful: every student, every day, will be seen, heard, and cared for. We have a school community that cares about kids, who understand the challenges of middle school, and who place an emphasis on supporting the “whole child.”

We pair a rigorous core curriculum in math, language arts, science, and social studies with a wide variety of exploratory electives. From world languages to ceramics, woodshop, coding, photography, and Project Lead The Way STEM, we have a program for you! Additionally, we provide opportunities for students to shine through extracurriculars such as band, choir, orchestra, Science Olympiad, Odyssey of the Mind, Math Counts, and a long list of school athletics. We also offer robust support through counseling, peer-leadership programs, and an overall student-centered approach.

We offer a variety of athletic opportunities for students to get involved, stay active, and be part of a team. Our programs are designed to help student-athletes develop their skills, build character, and represent their school with pride. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or trying a sport for the first time, Central Middle School athletics welcomes students who are ready to challenge themselves and contribute to a positive team culture.
