Gabrielle Kokenakes is not a newcomer to our community. She has called Forest Hills home throughout most of her career, teaching 3rd through 6th grade at Knapp Forest Elementary, serving as a Multi-Tiered System of Supports district instructional coach and gifted services coordinator, and most recently leading as the supervisor of student support systems at Ada Elementary. Kokenakes holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Michigan State University, along with a master’s and bachelor’s degree from MSU. Her professional philosophy is grounded in the belief that the best schools are where staff feel supported, students feel known, and leadership is shared. She is passionate about helping students find joy in learning and is deeply committed to working alongside teachers and families as true partners in that work.
