WHERE WELLNESS MEETS CONNECTION
The Forest Hills Public Schools Community and Aquatic Center serves as a dynamic, 32,000-square-foot facility serving swimmers, athletes, students, and neighbors since 1990. Designed to flow with the natural landscape, the center features an 8-lane, 25-yard competitive pool with a diving “L,” spectator seating for 300, locker rooms, and a spacious community meeting room. With advanced filtration systems, energy-efficient climate control, and dual-level access, this facility is a hub for recreation, wellness, and community connection, all under one roof.
A SPLASHY NEW FACILITY, COMING SUMMER 2028
FHPS is building a state-of-the-art aquatic center, a 77,813-square-foot facility funded through the $340 million bond proposal approved by voters in 2023. Located on the Dr. J. Michael Washburn Campus, the center will feature two pools: a nine-lane, 50-meter competitive pool and a four-lane, 25-meter community pool, giving the district the flexibility to run swim practices and community recreation at the same time. The competitive pool can also be divided into 25-meter lanes to host two meets simultaneously, and a separate dive well allows diving and swimming events to happen at once, opening the door for Forest Hills to host district and state tournaments for the first time. Beyond athletics, the new center will expand access to swim lessons, water fitness, and recreational programming for the entire community.
