Jason Yelding grew up in West Michigan and completed his undergraduate studies at Hope College where he majored in social studies and minored in English. Mr. Yelding earned his master’s degree in educational leadership through Michigan State University. After spending 15 years in the classroom teaching, he transitioned into an administrative role at Eastern Middle School. In the fall of 2022, Mr. Yelding joined the Eastern High School team as an assistant principal and embraced an opportunity to lead Goodwillie Environmental 5/6 School as the building principal. Education runs deep in the Yelding family, since Jason’s wife is also a school administrator, and with their daughters attending Forest Hills Eastern, they’re a true family of Hawks!
