Roselyn brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to education. She began her career as a bilingual tutor and English teacher, dedicating herself to creating inclusive learning environments from the very start. She taught English and Spanish at multiple high schools throughout Grand Rapids, where she pioneered innovative programs like project-based learning. Her passion for multicultural education and differentiated instruction has been evident throughout her teaching career.
Roselyn earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Spanish from Grand Valley State University, followed by her master’s in teaching from Aquinas College. Her dedication to educational excellence was recognized internationally when she received the prestigious Fulbright Global Leaders Award in Germany in 2023.
Prior to Orchard View, Roselyn served for eight years as the principal of Sibley Elementary in Grand Rapids. At Sibley, she implemented comprehensive literacy strategies, oversaw school-wide testing initiatives, and ensured a safe and equitable learning environment, programs closely aligned to our own at Orchard View. Before her principalship, she served as assistant principal at Harrison Elementary School, where she managed parent engagement events and supervised community council meetings.
