Rick Wiersma serves as an Assistant Principal at Forest Hills Northern High School, bringing extensive experience from various roles in education, driven by his desire to spend time with and foster student success. Prior to joining FHN, he was the Principal at Morley Stanwood High School and also worked as an interim principal within Jenison Public Schools. Wiersma began his career as an English language arts teacher and an education development specialist for the U.S. Peace Corps in Azerbaijan, where he was involved in discussions on gender equality. A graduate of Liberty University and Grand Valley State University, he emphasizes the importance of authenticity and creating a supportive, comfortable environment for both students and staff.
