Kristine Yelding’s career spans classroom teaching, building administration, and district-level student support work. For nine years, Mrs. Yelding taught high school English Language Arts and AP Psychology, fostering rigorous academics and meaningful student engagement. She then served for six years as an assistant principal at West Ottawa High School and Forest Hills Eastern High School before spending a year in the district office, where they supported school counselors and mental health liaisons and helped design systemwide structures to better meet student needs. For the past four years, Mrs. Yelding has been the principal of Eastern Middle School, leading with a focus on instructional excellence, student well-being, and a strong, connected school community.
