Kris Hop has served as the assistant principal of Eastern Middle School for the past four years. In this role, she focuses on building a positive school culture and supporting students and teachers to ensure a high-quality learning experience. Before entering administration, Mrs. Hop spent seventeen years teaching mathematics at Eastern High School. During her time in the classroom, she supported students not only in math but also in all content areas in their academics, study skills, and organization. After leaving the classroom, she became the Instructional Coach for Curriculum in Forest Hills. In that district role, she helped teachers implement aligned, rigorous curricular resources. She also collaborated with instructional leaders to strengthen teaching and learning across grade levels. Mrs. Hop is known for her student-centered approach and collaborative leadership style. She remains committed to creating learning environments where all students can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
