The school offers challenging coursework, including opportunities to begin high school–level classes, while also serving as the district’s Autism Spectrum Disorder categorical program, providing specialized support in an inclusive setting for all Hawks. Students can explore hands-on STEM learning through Project Lead The Way electives, and a strong arts culture thrives with three music programs: band, choir, and orchestra. Each spring, EMS also brings the community together with a student-produced theatrical play, showcasing creativity, collaboration, and school spirit. Eastern Middle is also where students begin their athletic careers as Hawks, with opportunities in basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cross-country, and track and field. Beyond athletics, student-generated after-school clubs foster peer connections, support diverse interests, and strengthen the school’s sense of community.
