Forest Hills Central High School is located in the heart of Ada, just southeast of Grand Rapids. Home to more than 1,000 students and 60 dedicated faculty members, CHS is a place where rigorous academics, vibrant student life, and a deep sense of community come together.
Central High School offers a comprehensive and challenging academic program, featuring 164 courses across 13 departments. Students can pursue Honors courses in English and Biology as well as a full suite of Advanced Placement (AP) offerings in art, computer science, English, calculus, statistics, biology, chemistry, environmental science, physics, U.S. history, world history, government and politics, French, and Spanish.
Beyond the classroom, CHS provides exceptional opportunities for involvement and growth. Our 37 varsity athletic programs engage more than 700 students in competitive athletics each year. Our award-winning Fine Arts programs—including theater, band, choir, and orchestra, consistently earn state recognition and enrich our school culture with annual plays, musicals, and outstanding performances.
